Father's Day cont.

After we woke Josh up with the girls giving him their homemade cards, we took him out to lunch. We wondered around for a while window-shopping then headed home.

This is the hat Acacia wanted to wear to the store haha

That evening we met up with some of his family and took his dad out for dinner. We had a good time. We hadn't seen some of them in quite a while (which is sad because we don't live but about an hour away). Then we went back to his parents house and sat around bs-ing for a while.

I have been busy this week and it will only get busier. We are getting ready for our friends wedding and have a lot to get done.

Makeover

I received a makeover yesterday. My eldest daughter and my niece also received a makeover. Oh, it was so nice and relaxing....

They decided that they wanted to be vampires....and made me one too....

I swear I didn't read Twilight to them, this was their own idea. :-)

This is what Acacia thinks of the whole thing... hahahaha

Enough is enough

Okay somehow today I have been on the Internet for hours...and I mean hours. So let me just post some pictures of our weekend and then I guess I will go clean the bathroom.

*Note: I love spray Soft Scrub! Its the best!

We had a very fun weekend :-)

We set up the pool for the girls to play in

As I mentioned before, I cut Hannah's hair and I think it turned out super cute.

Then we got together with some friends after Josh got off work (such a bummer he had to work Saturday, but yea overtime). My best friend and I decided that we would have a little something to drink this time. We hardly ever drink and they drink even less. So, needless to say it was interesting. We had a blast. Right before they left (Daniel had to work so he didn't drink) Amy and I decided that it would be fun to jump on the trampoline. Ha ha We didn't do very well. *sigh* Fun and funny.

(Oh, just so you know, we are not irresponsible parents...the children were asleep and not all of us were drinking)

Lachlan feeding himself :-)

I do have to admit that I had a slight headache the next day, but all in all felt pretty good. :-)

Sunday we just worked in the garden and then lazed around the rest of the day.

Hope everyone else had a good weekend.

The little things

Mmmm feet

I was afraid that having two kids would make things different. What I mean is... When Hannah was little and she discovered something new, I think I enjoyed it just as much as she did. The way her hand looked in the water, then out of the water...when she learned to sing...when she figured out how to do little things like put her shoes on...when she learned her colors or even just when she would say please and understand how to use it. I was afraid, well I just assumed, that with Acacia it would be different. I guess that I figured that I would miss more or maybe it wouldn't be as exciting. Well, happily, I was wrong. Everything Acacia does, everything she discovers, is just as exciting to me as it is to her. Ha ha... even the fact that she hates anything bothering her nose, so she picks it and brings it to me...ya I know, I need to break her of that...give me time :-)

Oh, mercy...I'm going to have to watch her :-)

Also, I just have to say that it is so nice to have someone tell you that you are a good parent and that your kids are so smart. I know we all like to think that we are excellent parents and our kids are the smartest, but it sure is nice to have someone see how hard we try. Sometimes I feel like I am to hard on the girls or that maybe I need to work more with them. It just makes me feel great to have someone complement me on my parenting.

Anyways, I just love being a mom! and I love my girls!!

Last day

How cute is this :-)

Today was the last day of school for Hannah. They had a little award program this morning. Hannah got awards for excellence in math and reading and also the good citizen award for her class for the year. Wahoo...yey for Hannah!! We are so proud of her. I am a bad mama though and forgot my camera so I don't have any pictures of it :-(

Hannah and I got a wild hair tonight and we cut her hair. I think it looks so cute...but Josh doesn't know I did it yet...we will see how he likes it (he has wanted her to cut her hair for awhile, so I am not too worried).

I talked to my Grandma tonight and she sounds good. She is home now. She said she is just tired and needs to take it easy for awhile.

I have a busy couple of days coming up so I thought I would say Congratulations to my cousin Desiree and her soon to be husband Fletcher. They are getting married Saturday. I am sad that I am not able to go to it (3000 miles away and all) but am super happy that she has found someone to spend her life with.

Here are a couple of pictures of our camping weekend.

I dared the kids to put their heads under the cold water LOL

Miles away

I missed a call this weekend from my mom while I was camping (no service up there) and it turns out my grandma is in the hospital. I talked to her last night and she sounded good, but tired. Today my mom called and they got everything figured out and it turned out not as bad as it could have been. It just really sucks to be so far away. If...God forbid it would have been worst case - open heart surgery - here I am 3000 miles away. Luckily it is only (huh, only) a leaky valve and can be controlled/fixed with medication. It does suck though that all this is happening right before my cousins wedding. Grandma won't be able to go to the wedding, such a bummer.
*sigh* I'm just happy she gets to go home tomorrow.

Dirty and Tired

Spire of the moment we went camping over the weekend. We just went up to Curtis Creek. It was beautiful. It was about 72 deg. the whole time, about 10 deg cooler than in town. So nice. We played in the creek with the kids...the water was chilly :-) but still nice. I woke up Sunday and didn't feel the best and was so tired when we got home that I took a shower, ate dinner, then went to bed. Hopefully I can post some pictures soon...I have some funny ones of the kids in the cold water. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Suprise fun

Hannah and Marilynn
Sunday we slept in... so nice. Then headed over to Scotty's house to visit and Melissa has asked me to be in the wedding so I needed to try on the dress. Oh, the dress.... It is very pretty, but I have 4 weeks to lose about 10lbs. I am between the sizes that she has (long story, she already has the dresses). I can do it, :-) hopefully, if not then I just won't sit down or breath LOL. After we hung out there for awhile Marilynn called and asked if we wanted to meet them at the lake to ride the jet ski's. Uh, yes! So I got to ride a jet ski for the first time. Wahoo! Way fun. Even Hannah liked it. It was a little late though and getting dark so we only got to ride for a few minutes. Next time we will plan better so we have more time.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.
