Back to school

After seven days, Hannah went back to school. She did great. She said her throat hurt when I picked her up, but has been playing every since we got home :-)
Yay, maybe life will start to go back to normal for a while.

On a side note I am so aggravated with our garden... with everything that has been going on we didn't get our plants in the ground soon enough and most of them died. So now we are going to have to start from seeds, later than we wanted. I just hope we still get a decent garden out of it. Grr :(

Goodbye Pawpaw Hardin

My hubby's grandpa, Pawpaw Hardin, passed away yesterday. It is sad, but we know he is in a better place...no longer suffering. Goodbye pawpaw Hardin you will be missed.

When it rains...

So, we were not home from the hospital a few hours when we got a phone call saying they called hospice in for my hubby's grandpa. Last night he wasn't doing well at all and the phone call we got this morning said he was worse. Josh headed down to sit with him and the family, but we decided to keep the girls home. That is not something we really want the girls to experience. I have a feeling its going to be a long weekend. Please keep my hubby's family in your prayers.

Hannah is home :-) Her surgery went really well and she did great. She is still in some pain and will be for a few days, but is eating and drinking some. She was such a trooper. She is a little grumpy, which I am not used to from her, but the doctor said the medicine would do that. Thanks for all your prayers :-)

Getting Started

All of last week was pretty warm here. We played outside and just tried to stay cool. We are trying to save power so I have just been working with the windows to keep the house cool. This works for a lot of people all summer long. Not us. Our house gets full on sun all day. I have figured out how to rotate the open windows and closing the blinds, but it still gets pretty hot in the house in the evening. But, until it either gets humid or hot for several days in a row, this is what we are doing. With the power rate up from last year our power bill has been much higher than we are used to. I guess we will sweat it out some this year LOL.

Hannah had a great soccer practice Friday. Everyone did so great that I had high hopes that we might do halfway good at the game Saturday. *sigh* We got creamed again. Hannah did better and Zane (her cousin) is getting pretty good, but other than the one other kid on the team...the rest don't seem like they want to be there. Oh, well.

Saturday Josh worked on the lawn mower (riding) but couldn't get it going, so he had to use the push mower. Bless his heart. We have over an acre of grass. He mowed part of it then started tilling where the garden is going to be.
Later that afternoon our friends showed up. We decided to have desert before dinner and headed over to Jack Frost for some ice cream. Yummy! After ice cream it was almost time for Hannah's soccer game so we headed to the field. Like I said, we got creamed, again. Ha ha. On our way out Acacia fell and scraped her knees. This wouldn't be such a big deal, but she fell last weekend and really tore up her knees and kept re-opening them all week. So, when she fell she fell on already scabbed knees. Poor baby :(
We went home and bbq'd some chicken and steak and had salad, grilled zucchini, and corn on the cob. So good. After dinner we jammed to some Band Hero on the Wii. Lots of fun :-)

Sunday Josh finished tilling the garden and then we went to his sister Angie's for a bbq. She just moved into a new house and was showing it off :-)
We had a good time seeing family we don't get to see very often. Hannah had a blast playing with her cousins and climbing trees. LOL We don't have good climbing trees at our house and she just thought that was the coolest.

Josh finally got the riding mower working and Acacia wanted a ride LOL
Later we decided to take Hannah out to dinner at her favorite restaurant. Hannah is having her tonsils taken out tomorrow and won't be able to eat anything but soft food for a little bit so we decided to treat her. After dinner we stopped at the store to let her pick out soft food for this week. She was excited...popsicles, pudding, applesauce, jello, ice cream and stuff for fruit smoothies...what kid wouldn't be excited LOL.

So, today I am getting ready to go work in the garden and get our plants planted this morning. This evening I will be getting everything ready for Hannah's hospital stay. I am nervous, but Josh will be staying with her the whole time. I will be there too, but off and on. We decided that I would come home with Acacia because being 24 months prego with an elephant ha ha, my feet keep swelling and I probably wouldn't be able to sleep at the hospital (considering I can barely sleep in my own bed). So keep my sweet baby in your prayers. I'm sure everything will go smoothly, but come on, let me be a mom and worry :-)

The start of our garden this year.

Hope everyone has a great week.

On a side note...Acacia has progressed to wearing "big girl" panties during the day and diapers only at night (and in the car). Yay!!

I guess there wasn't a whole lot going on Friday, just soccer practice. Hmmm...I was thinking there was something, but my prego brain is not helping me. Oh, duh... We had our 4D ultrasound Friday. It was awesome, but I already blogged about it :-)

Baby feet :-)

Because of our wonderful water problem, we ran to the laundrymat to do some laundry in the morning. Then we headed to Hannah's soccer game. Of course it was sunny and hot, so we all got sunburned :( They don't keep score, but between you and me...we got our butt kicked LOL

After the game we stopped by Jack Frost for some ice cream (the best homemade ice cream ever!). Then we went to Josh's pawpaw's house to do some yard work. After Josh mowed the grass we went home. We set up the new patio set the girls and I got Josh for his birthday. Well, I convinced Josh that I needed to take him to dinner for his birthday. So, I called up some friends and they met us at Papa's and Beer, a mexican restaurant in Asheville. It was so good, not only the food, but the company too. On the way home we stopped by Walmart and ended up getting Josh another Wii game :-) Then home to bed.

Well, since it was actually Josh's birthday, I got up with the girls and let him sleep in. Then his sister called and we met her and her kids up at Curtis Creek. The weather was so nice. The kids had a blast playing in the creek and we had a nice little picnic too. After that we went to Josh's parents house for dinner. Josh's dad had shot a turkey that morning, so he fried up some turkey nuggets LOL and some homemade french fries. It was actually really good.

All in all, we had a nice weekend.

Great Day!

After many tries, we have finally found out that we are having a boy :-) This is super exciting. Not only to be having a boy (uh, 2 girls already ha ha) but to know so I can prepare. The ultrasound went great...I had never had a 4D ultrasound before and it was too cool. After my appointment we went on a tour of the hospital. I have never delivered at this hospital before and oowww it was nice. They had recently remodeled it and even Hannah said it looked like a hotel. I really love that I don't have to leave the room...I get to deliver and room in the same room. The room was really big, and quite nice. The nurses seemed very nice also.
After all the baby stuff :-) we went and got Josh's present. His birthday is Sunday and he wanted a new patio set. So we went and picked that up.

All in all a great day :-)
So now a bunch of pictures LOL

Easter Weekend

My pretty girls all ready for church.

Acacia so excited to find eggs.

What Easter would be complete without a four wheel ride :-)

Acacia crusin' the four wheeler

We had a great Easter at my sisters. Ate too much and played outside. The kids were so cute finding the eggs. Acacia was overwhelmed I think, sometimes she would just look at the eggs staring like she couldn't decide where to start. LOL

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Long, sad week

This has not been a good week. My husbands great grandma passed away. At the wake we received a phone call that his grandpa (on the other side of the family) wasn't doing good and we should come see him. So after spending some time at the wake we headed over to the rest home where he is. After visiting him we grabbed some dinner with the family from earlier and then headed home. Friday we headed to the funeral only to receive news that grandpa was doing worse. So after the funeral we headed over to the rest home. None the less, after going back and forth we were super tired. Friday was also the anniversary of the death of my cousin, which made it a little bit harder for me to be the "rock" for everyone. I tried my best though.
Today I stayed home, while Josh went and visited his grandpa. The girls and I lazed around for most of the day, before we met up with my sister in law and her kids at the park. I have tried to keep this past week as normal as possible for the girls and wanted to reward them for being so good, but I was to tired to do much more then the park. I was getting a little worried Friday when I started getting dizzy spells and at one point I thought I was falling over. I hope after a couple days of rest that will go away. *sigh* What a week.
Keep my hubbys family in your prayers, the doctor is coming to see his grandpa Monday. Hopefully he will be able to tell us something.
