Just thought I would share some pictures of the major thunderstorm we had this afternoon. It still blows my mind when we have hail in the summer LOL.

Hannah was reading to Acacia with her book light trying to pass the time until the power came back on. Such a good sissy :-)

Church family

Our "church family" (well the women anyways haha) threw us a baby shower today. It was so cute. They went crazy with the blue LOL. I guess we are not the only ones excited we are having a boy. They had good food for us and we got all sorts of good stuff for the baby. It is so exciting to get stuff ready.

To soon?

I am 34 weeks prego and have been having Brackston Hicks. Not a big deal, but they have been quite uncomfortable, painful even. I had Brackston Hicks with the girls too, but I don't remember them being painful. I started having contractions every 10-20 minutes with Acacia at 37 weeks and they continued until they induced me at 39 weeks. But 34 weeks seems a bit early to start all this mess. Just in case though, I packed a few things in a bag (not everything I want to take, but a few things) and we have the car seat washed and the cradle set up. It needed to be done anyways but after a few slightly painful contractions pretty close together after church today...well I guess it just lit a fire under my hubby :-) I am getting pretty uncomfortable, but I want the baby to be healthy. If we can only last a few more weeks ha ha.

What a day...

I had my normal check up today. All was good. The baby's heartbeat is good, my weight gain is good, blood pressure, belly size...all that was good. I had a few questions about some pain I have been in so they checked me and I am dilated a tiny bit, but nothing to get excited about. I was just told to keep and eye on my contractions I've been having on and off and to rest. Ok, I will try my best (come on I do have two kids already, rest can be hard to come by sometimes).

After dinner, my wonderful little girl, who is doing so well potty training, thought she had gas...well it was a bit more than that. All gruesome details aside, I had to clean the carpet from the living room all the way down the hall to the bathroom. No big deal. Comes with potty training. So I grab the carpet shampooer and get ready to clean...well I turn it on and a horrible smell comes out of it. It then dawns on me that the water wasn't dumped out from the last time it was used. Unfortunately the last time we used it was when Hannah threw up last week. EEEwwww! So I had to go clean the shampooer before I could use it. Awesome. The best part, when I went to rinse it out the eewww water splashed up in my face. Double awesome. Ha ha. Part of being a mom I guess. LOL

Well, my hubby is home from work so I guess I'll go love on him ;-)
Have a great weekend.

Mother's Day

I know its late but Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there. I have been a bit under the weather lately so I dropped the ball. I should have posted this days ago, but between kids, pregnancy and other fun stuff it got lost. Anywhoo, hope it was good :-)

Over the weekend my oldest daughter was outside with her friends and happened upon a snake. Thank goodness, she and the other kids didn't have a crazy urge to mess with it. Hannah screamed and jumped back and they all came running. My wonderful hubby ran to the rescue with a shovel and killed it. At first we thought it was a copperhead, which we have had a problem with in past years, but it turns out...after looking it over a little more that it was a Northern Water Snake. Now these snakes are non venomous, but can be very aggressive. I only learned the name and information on it after researching in yesterday. Craziness. I hope this isn't a sign that we are going to have a snake problem again.

Mean Mom

My two year old is doing so well potty training. She hasn't wore a diaper in weeks (except the one I put on her after she was asleep and we had a 45 min drive home the other night, but it was dry in the morning :-) ). But at the same time we turned her bed into a big girl I know better than to do "big" things at the same time... *sigh* She is doing good on both fronts, except, when its bed time she gets up many, many times. She uses the excuse that she has to potty, and sometimes she does, but tonight after potty and drink, then potty again...I finally fussed at her and told her she had to stay in her bed. This of course was met with, five minutes later, "I have to potty". So after one more try to potty, I told her that she could no longer get up. After some crying I was told that I was mean. Nice. My two year old is already telling me I'm mean. *sigh*

On another note, we had a pretty good weekend. Friday after Hannah's soccer practice we went to our friends house and hung out for a while (added bonus...Josh had the day off). Saturday Hannah had a soccer game and did awesome. We didn't win, but we didn't get creamed like normal LOL. As a matter of fact, Hannah scored a goal. I was so proud of her. We made homemade bbq and had several friends over for a night of Band Hero and Super Mario Brothers on the Wii. FUN! We really had a blast.
Sunday I bought my little boy an outfit. This is the first outfit that we have bought him. I have to say, it is really hard to shop for a boy when I have been shopping for girls for so many years LOL.

Well...I have quiet coming from Acacia's room...maybe she finally went to sleep.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. :-)
