Yesterday I drove the kids around looking at Christmas lights. We were having a good time looking at some beautiful lights. We even saw some deer (real deer), the kids were just as excited about the deer as they were the lights. Christmas music playing, children singing and Hannah turns to me and says that she got to see her friend Danielle today. Now Hannah and Danielle have been friends since preschool. In fact, this year is the first year they haven't been in the same class.
Anyways, she said that Danielle looked sad and when she talked to her she found out Danielle's mom died this week. Shock! I just started crying. My heart hurts for this family. I am also sad because I have known Andrea for years now. Now this 7 year old little girl is going to grow up without her mom. *sad sigh*
I will be praying for this family.
Hug your family...enjoy never know what will happen tomorrow.

Having a moment

I am tired. Emotionally, physically and mentally. I don't know if its the busy-ness of the season or what, but I am so tired of people's crap.  Sometimes it surprises me...peoples priorities, that is. Most of the time I can just brush it off. You know, just say "oh that's just how they are" or "to each their own".  But for some reason I just want to tell some people to shut up. I know, I know... sorry

On a brighter note...I posted pictures of my beautiful children because they are what get me through the day. Don't get me wrong, my hubby is wonderful and I don't know what I would do without him...but there is something about a smiling, laughing, beautiful child to make you remember how great your life is.

So, deep breath out...
Let's think good thoughts and forget people that want you to be as unhappy as they are.

Acacia looking at the snow and Hannah standing with the snowmen we made.

I have been so busy lately.
~finished Christmas shopping
~Christmas get together with Tunks family
~Christmas get together with Tupper family
~visit a friend we haven't got to see in a while
~dinner with inlaws
All of this on top of working a six day week, wrapping presents, cleaning house and all of the rest of the daily grind.

We did manage to take some time to play in the snow with the girls (I don't think Liam would like it much haha). Hannah and I built snowmen. Acacia helped by throwing snowballs at us LOL.

We still have so much to do by/before/on Christmas. Oh well. Tis the season I guess.

Tis the season

Well, here we are again. December. I have such a love/hate relationship with the holidays.

Buying stuff for people
Spending time with people I love
Good food
Watching my kids Christmas morning
Finding the perfect gift for someone

People expecting my kids to run up to them when they hardly know them
Having to try to make SO many people happy
People thinking its ok to call my baby fat
Fighting crowds
Having to put myself in situations I'm not comfortable in
Money stress

*sigh* Once again I will suck it up and try to keep my mouth shut during some times, and sit back and enjoy the other times.
Happy busy, crazy, cold, wonderful December.
