911 calls and hospital visits

The Tuesday before Christmas, Josh's grandpa went in the hospital, again for pneumonia. So that's how we started our holiday rush.

Christmas Eve
My husband has a large family (5 sisters and a brother) so we have many people to see at the holidays. We gathered most of them together for brunch at one sisters house.
All was going great, good food, kids playing, visiting with family...then the cops show up. Ha! We were all shocked to say the least when the officer said they were responding to a 911 call. Well after talking to the kids we discovered that one of them, while playing a game, picked up what he thought was a play phone and dialed 911 and then dropped the phone and went back to playing. Anyways after everything settled down we all laughed about it. Craziness!

After brunch we went to Josh's grandpas house. The hospital let him come home for the holiday. Gifts were opened, fun was had :)
Then home... my SIL and her family came over and we played Just Dance 2 and Band Hero. Fun, fun.

Christmas Day
7:00 am - even after staying up crazy late getting everything ready I was wide awake. I layed in bed for about 15 minutes trying to go back to sleep before I gave up and woke everyone up :D
The look on the kids' face was priceless! I love it! After opening our presents to each other Josh and Liam layed down to take a nap. While they were napping it started to snow. Come on...could it be a more perfect Christmas?!
After making a cake (chocolate chip cheese cake with a chocolate drizzle) for my sister as a surprise (we would be gone for her birthday), we headed to her house.

More food, more gifts, more laughs, and more family...it was great. We didn't get to stay as long as I would have liked though, it was snowing like crazy. When we went to be we had over 7 inches of snow. It was beautiful.

Hope you all had a happy and safe Christmas.
